The new Kia Ceed sports a new front styling, incorporating a unique signature tiger-nose grille, as well as a cool horizontal air blade. And, the Ceed’s newly designed triangular air curtain, effortlessly complements this model’s new, sportier front bumper.​

Power and confidence

Sporty sophistication continues to have its say at the rear — with new tail lights showcasing an impactful rear light signature, featuring 48 honeycomb style LEDs and a diffuser design in glossy black. Plus, the rear LEDs make for an even longer lasting impression with sequential turning signals.​

Spacious and striking in equal measure

The new Kia Ceed’s hatchback body style makes it compact enough for easy maneuvering and parking. It does however offer a surprising amount of space for passengers and cargo. It has a look-at-me attitude too, based on confident design details like the glossy black side mirror, expressive side sill, and newly designed diamond-cut 17” alloy wheels that are as striking in motion and they are stationary.​

Inside the refined cabin, everything is designed around you. From the seamless, soft-touch surface layout of the driver’s space, to the smart technologies that connect you to the car — and the outside world. Includes a black cloth and faux leather sports seats featuring grey stitching, a superior black roof lining, a sporty steering wheel with GT-line badging, a perforated leather gear-knob, and more.

Elevated year-round comfort

Comfort is a priority – whatever the weather outside. The Ceed’s front seats can be heated on cold days using three adjustable settings. The front seats warm up quickly, then level-off after the desired temperature is reached. You also get automatic dual-zone climate control.​

Kia Connect On-Board Services

Power your Kia with smart connected services. Navigation is performed using live traffic data for the best possible route and journey time estimate. And destination searches draw their results from the internet for maximum accuracy and relevance. You also have access to weather information, and live fuel prices for petrol stations around you. And when you’ve almost arrived at your destination, Kia Connect1 helps you find public parking spaces, complete with pricing and availability.​

Kia Connect App Services

Interact with your Ceed wherever you are. With the Kia Connect2 app you can get the status of your car at a glance, such as the distance it can travel or whether all doors are properly closed. And, it’ll notify you if anything seems wrong. You also have access to convenience features like Send To Car, which lets you select a destination on your phone and send it to your Ceed Sportswagon. You can create a user profile so that your preferred vehicle settings — like the orientation of the map, or how your Ceed alerts you to speed cameras — apply once behind the wheel. When you park your car before arriving at your exact destination, the Kia Connect2 app can show you how to complete the journey on foot.​

Technologies to keep you safe.

Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go.

Cruise effortlessly by maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle directly in front. SCC 5 aims to maintain the speed you specify. It computes the relative position and speed of the vehicle ahead using its front-view camera and front radar to keep a safe distance.

The system controls acceleration and deceleration to make sure your Kia Ceed stops when the other vehicle ahead stops. When the vehicle ahead starts moving again, you will automatically start moving too. Simple.

Driver Attention Warning (DAW+)

Stay alert and on course. Our technology notices if you’re losing concentration by monitoring the pattern of the steering wheel, acceleration and overall length of the journey. If your attention level seems low, it alerts you both visually and audibly. DAW+ also features a leading vehicle departure warning system that will alert you if, for example, when in traffic, the car in front of you drives away and you don’t move.​

Lane Following Assist (LFA)

Stay centred and on course in your lane. The LFA system uses the windshield camera in order to monitor lane markings or the leading vehicle to make sure your Ceed remains in lane. Available for all models with a manual or automatic DCT gearbox.​

Mild Hybrid Drive

Smart power assistance

Get extra power for low-emission driving with no plug-in recharging. By cleverly pairing a diesel engine with a 48-volt lithium-ion battery, Kia’s mild hybrid system in the Ceed Sportswagon can reduce fuel consumption and vehicle emission levels. What’s more, the integrated ‘e-system’ recovers kinetic energy during deceleration phases to boost torque when accelerating.​

Starting, torque assist, cruising

Battery power helps the engine work more quietly, adding torque and using less fuel. The engine is started by the e-system for quick smooth starts and, when accelerating or driving uphill, it gives torque assistance by taking energy from the battery. And, when cruising at constant speed, the combustion engine partially recharges the battery if the charge level is low.​

Save on fuel costs

Mild hybrid technology lowers fuel costs and emissions. On models with iMT 4 – when you lift your foot from the throttle and let the car coast – the engine switches off, resulting in fuel savings. When decelerating or braking, the energy generated recharges the battery — and when decelerating to a stop, the combustion engine turns off automatically to save fuel.
