The ŠKODA ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV is the sportiest version yet of the new, all-electric SUV from Mladá Boleslav. Its look is characterised by a range of black design features and large wheels, while the lowered sports chassis makes for a particularly dynamic driving experience. The interior adds to the sporty feel, thanks to decorative, carbon-style trims, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and seats with integrated headrests. ŠKODA’s new flagship model range now includes a SPORTLINE variant, offered in three performance levels. The ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV 60 has an output of 132 kW*, while the ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV 80 produces 150 kW*. Both feature rear-wheel drive. The all-wheel-drive ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV 80x is equipped with two electric motors generating a combined output of 195 kW**.
The SPORTLINE variants are an integral part of ŠKODA’s model portfolio. The Czech car manufacturer is continuing with this tradition by adding the ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV to the line-up of its first all-electric SUV. The new variant comes with a sports chassis as standard that features model-specific springs and shock absorbers, and has been lowered by 15 mm at the front and 10 mm at the rear. Body-coloured bumpers and side sills further enhance the car’s sporty appearance. Whether fitted with rear- or all-wheel drive, the electric SUV boasts excellent traction, confidently transmitting the power generated by the electric drive system to the road in any situation. Because of how electric motors work, the car’s maximum torque is available immediately, even when pulling away. Furthermore, the high-voltage battery fitted in the floor between the axles ensures a low centre of gravity, which has a positive effect on the vehicle’s agility and behaviour when cornering. Thanks to its model-specific sports chassis, the ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV can handle fast corners more dynamically and with less roll. The progressive steering, another standard feature, also allows for sportier handling.
The ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV 80x boasts two motors and all-wheel drive
The most powerful variant is the ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV 80x. Thanks to a second electric motor on the front axle, it transmits power to the road via all-wheel drive. The two motors have a combined output of 195 kW** and offer a maximum torque of 425 Nm. The 80x is mainly driven by a permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PSM) on the rear axle, which delivers an output of 150 kW*, a maximum torque of 310 Nm and maximum running speed of 16,000 rpm. The PSM is designed in an axially parallel configuration, along with the pulse inverter and a single-speed gearbox. It boasts a high power density and a high level of efficiency. Its power is consistent over a wide speed range with a constant power output. An asynchronous motor, designed with a pulse inverter and a single-speed gearbox in a coaxial arrangement, is used at the front. This has an output of 80 kW*, a maximum torque of 162 Nm and maximum running speed of 13,500 rpm. Asynchronous motors are characterised by a short-term overload capability and low drag losses. They are thus perfect for short-term boosts. The ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV 80x is powered by a 82 kWh battery and can cover more than 500 km*** in the WLTP cycle. Its top speed is 160 km/h.
Two more powertrain variants available
The ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV 60 features rear-wheel drive with an electric motor on the rear axle delivering 132 kW*. The ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV 80’s rear motor produces 150 kW*.
Effective braking system and brake energy recovery
When the brakes are applied, the ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV uses its highly effective brake energy recovery system to slow down, provided the battery has sufficient storage capacity. The electric motor acts as a generator, making braking more efficient while increasing the vehicle’s range. The energy released during braking is not lost in the form of heat, but is converted into electric energy and fed into the battery. If necessary, the braking system automatically engages. Using the standard-feature paddles on the steering wheel, the driver can manually adjust the degree of recuperation at any time and, in doing so, the level of braking assistance. The front wheels feature ventilated brake discs and, as the rear brakes are subjected to minimal load due to the energy recovery system, the rear wheels are fitted with robust drum brakes, which are particularly resistant to corrosion thanks to their closed design.
Dynamic appearance with black body applications
A wealth of gloss black design features identify this latest ENYAQ iV variant as a typical ŠKODA SPORTLINE at first glance. The surround of the striking ŠKODA grille boasts a gloss black finish, as do the c-shaped trims of the air curtains. This contrasts nicely with the dynamically designed, body-coloured front apron, which features a large central air inlet with honeycomb mesh and a spoiler lip. There are gloss black finishing touches on the wing mirrors, window frames and roof rails, as well as on the diffuser in the model-specific rear apron, which is body-coloured, same as the side sills. The model name and ‘ŠKODA’ in block lettering on the tailgate are also gloss black. The roof spoiler sports a matt black finish.
Large wheels and tinted windows
Large alloy wheels boasting an aerodynamically optimised design enhance the ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV’s sleek appearance. The 20-inch Vega alloy wheels sport an anthracite finish, while the 21-inch Betria alloys are black. The tyres use self-sealing technology. Minor damage to the tread, such as that caused by a thin nail, a piece of broken glass or a sharp stone, automatically self-seals, so the tyre does not need to be changed immediately. The SunSet tinted rear and rear side windows further emphasise the SUV’s sporty look and also ensure that the interior remains cool in summer. The laminated glass of the acoustic side windows at the front and rear reduces the noise level in the vehicle.
Full-LED Matrix headlights and full-LED tail lights as standard
The ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV comes with full-LED Matrix headlights as standard. Each Matrix high‑beam module features 24 LEDs, which can be controlled individually and enable the driver to have the high beam on at all times without dazzling other road users. This intelligent technology automatically turns off individual segments of the light beam when the camera on the windscreen detects vehicles, as well as people and objects, reflecting the light. The range of standard equipment also includes a headlight cleaning system and full-LED tail lights. These feature a crystalline design and dynamic indicators. The optional, innovative Crystal Face provides a real highlight with a total of 131 LEDs illuminating the grille’s vertical slats and horizontal trim. The LED modules of the full-LED Matrix headlights for low beam and high beam, as well as the daytime running lights, also create a welcoming display.
Sporty Design Selection with black upholstery and carbon-effect trims
Black upholstery and decorative strips in a carbon look characterise the ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV’s interior. In the all-electric SUV, Design Selections replace the classic trim levels. They have been inspired by modern living environments and feature perfectly coordinated colours and materials. The SPORTLINE-specific Design Selection includes black sports seats with integrated headrests for optimum lateral support in any driving situation. The seats are upholstered in Suedia microfibre and leather, and feature grey piping. The textile floor mats come with grey nubuck stitching. The dashboard is upholstered in a black leather-style fabric; the roof lining is black too. The decorative strips on the dashboard and in the door trims have a carbon-effect finish. The trim surrounding the drive selector in the centre console is black, as is the button for the electric parking brake. The aluminium pedal covers provide another sporty and dynamic touch.
Three-spoke multifunction leather sports steering wheel with contrasting stitching
The ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV’s three-spoke multifunction sports steering wheel is designed in the latest ŠKODA styling. The steering wheel rim is upholstered in leather and can be heated; it features contrasting grey stitching. The lower steering wheel spoke has a badge bearing the SPORTLINE lettering. Several vehicle functions can be controlled directly from the steering wheel using easy-to-operate buttons and knurled wheels. Pressing a button in the centre console takes the driver directly to the Driving Mode Select menu (standard feature), displayed on the 13-inch central infotainment screen. From there, the driver can choose from the Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport and Individual modes.
New head-up display with augmented reality
The optional head-up display complements the Digital Cockpit’s standard 5.3-inch screen, making the ENYAQ iV the first ŠKODA to offer augmented reality. Higher up on the windscreen – in close range and immediate view of the driver – is a projection zone. Here, larger symbols such as directional arrows from the navigation system are displayed and virtually projected onto the road ahead. The ignition is switched on by simply pressing the start button or applying the brakes, thanks to the KESSY keyless vehicle entry system. When leaving the vehicle, the ignition switches off automatically.
Innovative assistance systems help to prevent collisions
ŠKODA’s first all-electric SUV is one of the safest vehicles in its segment. In the Euro NCAP tests, it was given the highest-possible rating of five stars. The ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV can be equipped with any of the state-of-the-art assistance systems ŠKODA has to offer. Front Assist with Predictive Pedestrian and Cyclist Protection, and Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert warn of collisions with other vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and static obstacles. Front Assist can prevent an accident completely or at least minimise its consequences. New assistance systems also increase safety: In the event of an impending collision with a pedestrian, cyclist or other vehicle, for example, Collision Avoidance Assist supports the driver by intervening in the steering. The system enables a controlled evasive manoeuvre to prevent the accident from occurring. When turning left at junctions, Turn Assist detects oncoming traffic at an early stage, warns the driver and automatically brings the car to a stop if necessary. When a door is opened, Exit Warning alerts the occupant if another vehicle or a cyclist approaches from behind. It does this acoustically and visually via a light signal on the inside of the wing mirror housing.
Comfort and safety with Travel Assist
Travel Assist provides active support for longitudinal and lateral steering and comprises Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Adaptive Lane Assist including roadwork recognition, Traffic Jam Assist and Emergency Assist. The system is activated at the touch of a button, which is located on the multifunction steering wheel, keeping the ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV in its lane and automatically monitoring the distance to the vehicle in front. In congested traffic, Travel Assist can autonomously bring the ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV to a stop, make it pull away and follow other vehicles. Travel Assist displays the vehicle’s surroundings on the screens, allowing the driver to see any objects detected by the vehicle sensors. The Travel Assist function requires the driver to keep their hands on the steering wheel. If the vehicle detects that the driver is no longer steering, braking or accelerating, Emergency Assist initially warns them visually, then acoustically and ultimately by jolting the brakes. If the driver fails to react, the hazard lights are activated, the vehicle is brought to a standstill in its current lane and eCall is triggered.
The next-stage system will follow later this year. This feature will then guide the car through narrow spaces. It will also take over lateral steering in the city using online information based on current swarm data for this purpose. When the indicator is activated, the system will assist in changing lanes and provide steering support through tight corners. Predictive Cruise Control will react to obstacles reported via online traffic data. Furthermore, the optional Park Assist feature – which currently automatically manoeuvres the vehicle into and out of parallel and bay parking spaces – will be able to brake automatically and prevent the car from colliding with pedestrians or objects. Area View is even better than the optional rear-view camera, as its four cameras create a 360 degree top-down image of the ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV and its immediate surroundings.
Proactive Crew Protect Assist and up to nine airbags
Should a collision be imminent – despite all the assistance systems or if the driver initiates a sudden braking manoeuvre – the proactive Crew Protect Assist feature will automatically take precautions to protect the vehicle’s occupants. In the event of an impending collision or if the car is in danger of skidding or tipping over, the system will tension the seat belts and close the windows and the panoramic sliding roof. The ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV’s occupants are protected by up to nine airbags. Driver and front passenger airbags and front side airbags are fitted as standard, as are two curtain airbags which cover the front and rear side windows. A central airbag between the front seats reduces the impact between the driver and front passenger should an accident occur, and two optional side airbags for the outer rear seats provide additional protection.

* The availability of the maximum electrical output could be limited. The amount of power available in individual driving situations depends on various factors, such as ambient temperature and the charge status, temperature and condition or physical age of the high-voltage battery.
** Maximum electrical output 195 kW: Maximum output that can be accessed for a maximum of 30 seconds, calculated in accordance with UN GTR.21. The amount of power available in individual driving situations depends on various factors, such as ambient temperature and the charge status, temperature and condition or physical age of the high-voltage battery. The availability of the maximum power requires the high-voltage battery to be between 23°C and 50°C and have a charge level of > 88%. Deviations from the aforementioned parameters in particular may lead to a reduction in power, through to the complete unavailability of the maximum power. The battery temperature can be indirectly influenced by the auxiliary air conditioner to a certain extent and the charge level can, for example, be adjusted in the vehicle. The amount of power available at a particular time is shown in the vehicle’s power display. To maintain the high-voltage battery’s usable capacity as effectively as possible, a battery charging target of 80% is recommended if the vehicle is used daily (to be switched to 100% prior to long-distance journeys for example).
